That was me.
Victor stammered. “This—this can’t be real.”
“It is,” I said. “And effective immediately, your access has been revoked.”
Security appeared—not dramatically, just efficiently.
Victor stood frozen as his badge deactivated. His phone lost signal. His screen went blank.
“You applauded when I was dismissed,” I said quietly. “You assumed silence meant weakness.”
